A score line is not solved by polishing the visible mark or fitting another roll and restarting. Confirm that the line follows the anilox

A light visual mark is not enough to judge serviceability. Examine cell structure and measure volume in and around the damaged band. Compare the result with the required application and print sample. Expert inspection may be needed to determine whether repair, recoating or replacement is appropriate.
Do not compensate for a damaged band with extra impression, blade pressure or a stronger anilox in another station. Those actions can create a second defect and make the original cause harder to identify.
Close the incident with preventive action
Document the position, photographs, ink batch, filter condition, blades, chamber settings and maintenance history. Replace failed components, clean the complete circuit and verify that no debris remains before installing a sound roller.

Acceptance should require clean printing without a recurring line and no new mark on the anilox surface. Save station, roller, line position, ink batch, debris found, parts replaced, chamber settings and verification sample. Attach photographs, measurement reports and an approved finished sample where useful. Give the recipe a revision and link it to the exact material, artwork or machine configuration. Operators should be able to see what may be adjusted, the permitted range, the time allowed for stabilisation and who approves an exception.
Define a stop and escalation rule for any returning streak, trapped debris, dry blade contact, abnormal wear or visible damage to the replacement roller. Review repeat faults by station, material and shift instead of treating each one as a separate surprise.
